Policies

Appointments

All appointments must be scheduled at least one week in advance.  It takes me time to prepare specifically for your shoot!  If, for any reason, you must cancel or reschedule your session, please call me at least 2 hours before your scheduled appointment.

 

Payment

The session fee is due in full on the day of the session. If you would prefer to use a debit/credit card, I bill via PayPal. This can be paid in advance or at the time of the shoot assuming we have adequate cell coverage and a smart phone. You may also bring cash to the shoot. I will accept personal checks, provided that I receive them in advance, and they have cleared the bank before the date of the shoot.  If your session is scheduled far enough in advance, I will also accept multiple partial payments leading up to the date of the shoot.  I will send you an updated invoice after each payment is received. 

 

Photography Release

In order to have the privilege of taking your photos, I need all people involved in the photo shoot to sign a release.  Anyone under 18 needs a parent’s signature.  The release authorizes me to use the photos for advertising purposes, among other things.  Please read it thoroughly.  If you are unwilling to sign the release(s), I can still take your photos, however I will not be able to place them on my website for ordering.  I can give you the photos on a CD or DVD for a $40.00 fee, also due on the day of the shoot. Being able to show potential future clients my work, enter photo contests, and use photos in advertisement are essential in order for me to generate business, and I greatly appreciate your cooperation!

 

Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather, you will be given two options.  We can reschedule your session completely, or we can spend all or part of your session time in our rain boots or snow gear capturing priceless candids of puddle jumping, dancing in the rain, or snowball throwing.  Your remaining session time can be used on another day.  If I have concerns about the weather conditions, I will contact you prior to your shoot, and you are welcome to contact me with concerns at any time.  If we try for a bad weather shoot, and it doesn’t work out, I will reschedule your full session time.

 

Proofs & Ordering

Edited pictures will be uploaded to my website within 2 weeks for most photo shoots.  Once this is done, you will receive a phone call or email with the specific web address and password to your private gallery.  (Watermarks are displayed lightly on the images.  This keeps people from stealing the image.  Watermarks will not be on your prints or products.)  Ordering is done through the same website.  Log into your gallery, click on the picture you wish to purchase, and choose from the list of available products, including standard prints, gallery wraps, stationary, wall clings, and much more!  Pictures will be available online for at least 60 days.  If you wish to place an order after this time, please call me and I will set up your online gallery again.  If you experience any difficulty viewing your pictures or placing an order, please don’t hesitate to call!  I am here to help!  Once you have purchased prints or products, you are no longer eligible for a refund of your photo shoot.  Alternately, I offer photos on CD with full printing rights for $40.

 

Unsatisfactory Photos

My goal is to provide you with pictures that you will cherish for a lifetime.  If you are not satisfied with the proofs from your photo shoot, you may choose to allow me to schedule another session at no cost, or fully refund your session fee.  It is of ultimate importance to me to capture pleasing, quality images.  If you choose to have your money refunded, prints will no longer be available to you.
